Tryouts (U14+) and identification sessions (U13-) for our 2026 teams have ended.

Competitive Soccer offers advanced and elite players an opportunity to play other teams in the Southwest District Soccer League. There is a significant commitment to playing rep soccer which includes travelling to other areas within the SWRSA District League such as Stratford, Rockwood, Guelph, Kitchener, Markdale, Fergus, etc. In addition to the weekly game and travel time commitments, each team practices at least once a week. Practices also continue throughout the whole year at indoor locations within Owen Sound. There are additional team fees that are associated with playing on a rep team.  For the players, parents, and volunteers, it is a rewarding and exciting level of play.

Owen Sound Minor Soccer generally has 4 to 5 rep teams each outdoor season ranging from U10 to U18. Tryouts (U14+) and identification sessions (U13-) are  held for rep teams starting in September after the outdoor season has ended. Players are expected to register for tryouts and identification sessions ahead of time and attend all sessions for their desired team. Owen Sound Minor Soccer follows the Canada Soccer Long Term Player Development (LTPD) pathway to promote a safe, fun, and developmentally age appropriate environment. All players in age groups U12 and under are part of the Grassroots stream outlined below. Rep teams for age groups U13+ are part of the Soccer for Life (Competitive) stream.
